I don’t know how to handle this Social Science question and need guidance.

Hello I will provide all of the instructions and examples below.

Results Section

Now, it is time to convert your raw data into statistical information. For this section of your research paper, you are going to present the results of your observation in three (3) different ways – narrative, percentages, and a visual graph.

For your narrative, you must discuss your statistical results in complete sentences (do not use bullets or sentence fragments). For example: Out of 63 children observed, 48 children hit other children on the playground. Twenty-two children threw sand and eight children spit at other children. Consider APA guidelines when working with numbers (spell out numbers under 10 and use numerals for numbers over 10. Always use numerals for ages).

In the second paragraph, convert your numbers to percentages of your total population. For example, if you observed 63 children total and 48 of those children hit other children on the playground, then 76% of your population hit other children. If 22 children threw sand then 35% of the total population threw sand. You may use numerals and the percent sign (%) when discussing percentages. Just be sure to include them into the sentence format (no bullets or sentence fragments).

For the visual graph you may use a pie chart, bar graph, frequency polygon, OR histogram. Your graph must be electronical generated (no photos of hand drawings).

“Pie charts divide a whole circle (representing your total population) into slices that represent relative percentages” (250).

“Bar graphs use a separate and distinct bar for each piece of information” (250).

“Frequency polygons use a line to represent the distribution of frequencies of scores” (250-251).

“A histogram uses bars to display a frequency distribution for a quantitative variable” (251).

Review pages 250-253 of your class text for assistance. Be sure to include a key so that your reader can understand what the image reflects. Your Results section should represent the research question or hypothesis stated in your Introduction.

REMINDERS

Remember, the Results section is the only section where you discuss the results of your observation.

DO NOT discuss previously published work in this section (that was done in the Introduction)!

DO NOT discuss how you collected your data (that was done in the Methods section)!

DO NOT interpret the results or discuss why you think you got those numbers (that will be done in the Discussion section)!

The Results Section should be approximately a page to a page and a half in length and include a minimum of one diagram. Include the cover page and attach a copy of your raw data collection.

Submit the Results section with a cover page and attach a copy of the raw data to your paper.
